AudiotentTip 312. 3 Ways to widen your mono sounds.
CHORUS. Try applying a stereo chorus, it will add some depth and dimension to your sound.
PING-PONG DELAY. Another great tool to add width to the instruments is a ping-pong delay. Delayed signal will ‘bounce’ from one side to the other, adding extra movement and stereo field to the sound.
REVERB. Small reverb ambiences work wonders to create a lively stereo field. You can further widen the sound by increasing the stereo width of the reverb return.
