Audiotent Tip 377. Emulating Analog Synths.
Analogue synths impart a certain vibe, with their slight imperfections and often temperamental behaviour.
This certain characteristic can be just what we need in order to make a synth patch it stand out.
In a perfect digital world, it can prove to be a little more difficult than just firing up our vintage analogue synth.
However, when programming a soft synth we can do a few things to help create the illusion of analogue synth behaviour.
One of these can be to assign an LFO to modulate the fine pitch of each oscillator. This can help to mimic the drifting and imperfections of analogue oscillators.
