Transient designer before limiter
#AudiotentTip 100. Transient designer before limiting.
Have you ever applied a touch of limiting on you bus channel to control the peaks? In some cases this works great. Other times, you end up getting the signal to sit just right, but the punch of the transients is reduced.
Before you start pulling the threshold right up, try adding a transient designer prior to limiting and increase the transient attack. This should add some 'forwardness' back to your signal.
