Surfer EQ 2 how to use a pitch tracking equalizer

#AudiotentTip 256. Pitch Tracking EQ.

A new wave of EQ’s is being created that can track the fundamental frequency or any harmonics in real-time. These EQ’s can be extremely useful and can deliver very musical results.
For example, if you have a baseline that is playing A1 and you made a 4db cut with a narrow Q at say 110hz to get it sounding just right, what happens when the bassline moves down to E1? You lose the feel and vibe of what you EQ’d. Well, with these pitch tracking EQ’s you can set the frequency to move with the fundamental (or set harmonics) this helps to deliver a very smooth and transparent result.
